The fruit from the Duarte Vineyard in Georgetown; elevation of 2800 feet.  John Duarte is the owner/manager and was recently elected into the House of Representative for District 13.  Congrats, John!  Hints of plums and raspberries along with rich French oak and cedar.  The mouth feel is balanced with ripe berries, leather and tannins from the oak.  The finish is lasting.  From past experience, Matt believes this wine needs more time in the bottle.  He feels it will show well in a year or more.  Pair with a special meal.
