Our Beckman Zinfandel comes from a vineyard in Mountain Ranch.  This is where Matt Hatcher “cut his teeth” in grape farming.  These grapes were in the first batch of wine he produced in his garage in Modesto, California.  Medium red color. Hints of cedar, raspberry and dry hay. Flavors of raspberry moving to cherries with vanilla notes. Medium bodied. Spice components with subtle notes of pepper. Pleasant finish. This is a nice example of fruit forward, medium bodied, Sierra Foothills Zinfandel. Would pair nicely with a gourmet burger… don’t forget the bacon.
