Fruit from Metate Hill in Bar 20, just west of Angels Camp.  24 months American oak, 30% new.  Aromas of red fruit and mixed berries.  Flavors of tart cherry, coffee, vanilla and nutmeg.  Classic “dusty” Tempranillo tannins frame this wine beautifully.  Perfect with tapas or Estofados (Spanish stew).
