Affectionately nicknamed, Black Dog Brandy, in remembrance of our sweet winery pup, Annie, who’s image graces the label.  Soft notes of vanilla from the heavy toast American oak bourbon barrel bring this mature brandy to life.  Sangiovese grapes from the Lyman Vineyard in Amador County.  Aged 33 months at Dry Diggins Distillery in El Dorado County. Aromas of vanilla.  Rich gold color.  Flavors of vanilla with hints of orange on the finish.  Easy to sip.   
 
Our second venture in the world of spirits taught us the importance of fruit forward wine for the base.  Although it is made in a traditional brandy style, it could easily be an elegant substitution for a bourbon or whiskey in your favorite cocktail.
