Matthew Hatcher is owner and winemaker, and his wine making talents have put Hatcher on the don't miss list of Foothill wineries.. He's assisted by his brother and partner, Sewell Hatcher and assistant winemaker Scotty Hancock. We're located in the Sierra Foothills with the winery and tasting room in Murphys, and estate vineyard in Angels Camp. Matt makes many different lots of wine; often these lots produce less than 200 cases and are showcased to our retailers, in our tasting room and to our wine club members.The mission of Hatcher winery is best effort at all we do, compromise just isn't in our vocabulary. Matt’s commitment as an owner/winemaker is to work with the vineyard managers in growing premium fruit complimented by the best oak barrels to suit the wines. He manages the vineyard with the same level of integrity, producing the Estate Zinfandel that has been so well received.
